The Junior Orange Bowl celebrated the unveiling of the organization’s 69th Parade Theme at the Pullman Miami Airport Hotel last week with members, friends, and guests. Junior Orange Bowl Parade Chair Travis Stokes, Vice Chair Kathleen Slesnick Kauffman, and the Junior Orange Bowl Royal Court revealed the theme for the annual community Parade, “A Groovy Gables Holiday”. The theme will honor the Parade’s 69-year history by paying homage to the 1960’s.
“The Junior Orange Bowl Parade is celebrating its 69th year, we thought it would be fun to incorporate a theme that is reminiscent of the 1960’s. We hope that everyone involved in the parade will embrace the theme wholeheartedly and use it as inspiration for their costumes, décor, and musical selections; we truly want to be able to give spectators a Groovy Gables Holiday”, stated Parade Chair, Travis Stokes.
The Parade will take place on Sunday, November 26, the first Sunday after Thanksgiving, in downtown Coral Gables along Miracle Mile. The Parade is free to attend and open to the public. The Junior Orange Bowl is currently accepting applications to participate in the Parade. The Parade is open to any school, community, corporate, or youth organization that wishes to showcase its cultural talents and promote its mission.
